If the roles were reversed, could you imagine a young Black man and woman attacking an older White woman? The reason these incidents happen is because they know it is unlikely that they will face any severe consequences for their actions, if any at all, which is another example of inequities within our justice system for Black people in America. My mom is around MS. Chrystal Caldwell’s same age, so this definitely hits home in so many ways.
