Tampa Police Shoot, Kill 16 Year Old Javon Neal in Tampa Heights

This story hits home for me considering I spent the majority of my childhood in this neighborhood and lost my friend Donald and couple other people I knew all from gun violence. Being a young black man in America every day is a challenge to survive.  There are so many more of us being killed out here in the streets of America than in military combat in Afghanistan to the point that it seems to be a genocide going on against black men in America. Let’s be real if it was young white men being murdered at this rapid pace they will consider it a national threat and they would be sure to explore all their resources to find a solution to the problem.

Four children watch in horror as ‘police Taser their father to death

Tragic: Corey McGinnis was Tasered by police after a fight broke out at a basketball game in Cincinnati. He never regained consciousness and later died

A father has died after he was Tasered by police while trying to protect his two sons at a basketball game brawl – as four of his children looked on.

Corey McGinnis, 35, was playing basketball with a group of men and his sons, aged 15 and 16, at Crutchfield Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Family members said a fight broke out after the other team lost yet refused to pay the bet they had placed before the game.

In the chaos, shots were fired and when police arrived on the scene, they Tasered three men, including McGinnis, to control the crowd.

The man, who has nine children and was an aspiring football coach, collapsed and was rushed to hospital.

He never regained consciousness and his mother decided to turn off his life support after five days, McGinnis’s niece told Cincinnati.com.
