We See Lies When we stop allowing ourselves to be blind to what’s true then we will see real progress.

Common sense should tell the police that an elementary age child on the concrete handcuffed is not just bad policing but morally problematic.  This is a prime example of what the devaluing of black life looks like. These police officers would have never even considered such action on white children, but it’s clear that they did not see these children as children.  Despite how young, small, and helpless, they still saw them as criminals. This will have a life long affect on these kids. They will carry this  with them forever that police are there to terrorize and not protect. Incidents like this that are not reported happen to black children all over the country. I have my own childhood stories dealing with police misconduct from at a very young age, so I can understand the long-term affect of the police actions.
