We See Lies When we stop allowing ourselves to be blind to what’s true then we will see real progress.

Let’s start with, hopefully she has a full recovery.  But truth, let’s recognize that this story did not get any mainstream media attention initially nor any acknowledgment from a lot of our black celebrity feminists women for several days after the incident.  We all know from numerous past examples that if this were a black man instead it would have been a totally different situation. The story spread through real ones on social media calling attention to this crime. This is a perfect example of white male privilege when media allows this white man to beat up a black women without an immediate mainstream reaction.  And still, even as the story spreads, the headlines are excuses for him – he has a mental health issues, he’s a bench player, etc., etc., etc.  This was nothing less than an attempted murder.  After his  commanding her to “bow down” to him, he choked her until he thought she was dead and instead of calling for help he sat down to eat dinner. She woke up and saved herself.
