The officer that claims the killing was a accidental discharge and meant to draw for a taser and not a gun is a senior officer on the the police force. With that being said, this officer should have been trained to have known the difference between the location of their gun vs. taser on their uniform. If the excuse for this officer killing a black man was the heat of the moment or being scared for their life, well, that’s why we pay our tax dollars to train police to be able to handle situations without killing us. And even if it was a quote-on-quote “mistake” of weaponry, that officer’s negligent choice in that moment is still criminal manslaughter when your actions kill someone.
